Joan worked closely with Ashley to put together a fantastic day’s touring itinerary in the Yarra Valley to celebrate her 30th birthday with 10 friends. John collected the group from Melbourne’s CBD and they headed straight to Four Pillars Gin Distillery for a great informative tasting with Elton and they really enjoyed their tasting and his explanation of the various gins. It was a really relaxed visit, pre booked so they were expecting us, and it was lovely for the group to take their time sampling the various gins and learning how they are made. Inevitably, they purchased some gin, for later!
Zonzo’s was their choice for lunch, where the group enjoyed a really relaxed and fun lunch and the varied pizza menu was a big hit, washed down with some great wines.
After lunch, John took the group up to Squitchy Lane, a gorgeous boutique winery where Robyn did a wonderful tasting with us. Ashley had enjoyed their wines on a previous visit, so we were really pleased to be able to arrange a tasting for her group on her 30th birthday. Obviously a few more purchases were made!
Meletos was the next stop for a cider and beer paddle tasting outside in the sunshine – I know the sunshine helps but it really has a great atmosphere and vibe at Meletos.
We finished off with a wine tasting at St Huberts under the elm trees enjoying the last of the sunshine and watching the storm arrive.
Perfect timing to get back on the bus and drive back in to the CBD around 6pm after a really full, fun day and a great 30th birthday celebration.
