We have more guests celebrating their 30th birthday with a private Yarra Valley tour than any other age – it’s amazing. And we managed 4 wine tastings and a gin tasting as well as a slap up lunch! Altogether a great way to celebrate.
John collected Kirsty and 8 friends from their accommodation in Healesville and set off for St Huberts Winery, one of the oldest wineries in the Yarra Valley where they had a great wine tasting with Dominic who gave an entertaining and informative presentation.
Then he drove them up the impressive driveway to Helen & Joeys high up on the hill for a wine tasting out on the deck where Stephen gave the a fascinating run down on their Estate grown wines. And of course they got to pose with and ride “Bruce” the unicorn.
Lunch was at Medhurst Wines with great share platters and more wine – which they all thoroughly enjoyed.
And then we visited Four Pillars Gin Distillery which was a great hit and they all enjoyed a paddle of three different gins.
Remarkably they were still standing after their gin (one paddle and you’re over the limit we’ve been reliably informed) and we finished off their birthday celebrations with a visit to Innocent Bystander for a wine tasting on tap – and they liked the novelty of this.
After a great day out together wine tasting in the Yarra Valley on their own personalised tour for Kirsty’s 30th, John had them back to their accommodation by 5pm.
