Being a big fan of Yarra Valley wine, Janene booked to tour with us at Tour the Valley again last weekend, this time with five work colleagues who have worked together for many years. They were staying at The Farmhouse at Meletos, beautiful accommodation here in the Yarra Valley, next to Stones, with gorgeous views.

They bought so much wine at their first wine tasting at Dominique Portet that Joan explained that if this kind of purchasing continued, we’d have to hire a trailer!!

Kelly at Levantine Hill put on a truly professional, informative and fun wine tasting, that proved to be the absolute highlight of the day for the group.  Again more wine was purchased and the van started to groan.

We zipped over to Yering Station for more tastings and a great wander around the produce shop where the group all purchased Yarra Valley preserves and conserves to enjoy back home or give as gifts.

The friends had booked lunch at Levantine Hill and enjoyed their grazing platters washed down with more of their stunning wine.  They loved the views and the style of architecture – Levantine never fails to impress.

After lunch we set off to Healesville for a “gin experience” at the infamous Four Pillars Gin where the gang tried gin cocktails, martinis AND the gin paddles!  They had such fun, unsurprisingly as Four Pillars is always busy with a great vibe, and there’s so much to learn and sample all in a great atmosphere.

Finally, at 6pm Joan dropped them back to The Farmhouse at Meletos where all their purchases were unloaded and they were soon off to Meletos for dinner.

It was a great day, full of fun and laughter and a phenomenal amount of Yarra Valley wine purchases – Janene, can’t wait to have you back for another tour, as soon as your stocks are low, give us a call! J
