These two Perth couples had already planned where they would visit in the Yarra Valley so asked us to transfer them from winery to winery.  John picked them up from their gorgeous arty accommodation at Art at Linden Gate at 11am and gave them a little taster of Healesville as they’d none of them been to Healesville before.

The friends had planned a few days in Melbourne to watch the Eagles play football on Sunday at Etihad Stadium.  They were only in the Yarra Valley for 24 hours and wanted to enjoy some of our attractions.

First stop was Four Pillars Gin Distillery for a gin tasting and they were most impressed with the building and concept.

Then they were off to Chandon next for a sparkling tasting followed by a wine tasting at Yering Station and a beautiful leisurely lunch with that staggering view.  After lunch John drove them to Meletos for a cider and beer tasting and John showed them around Stones next door knowing they would love the design of the buildings, blending the old with the new.  That’s the beauty of having locals transfer you – it’s the extra little drives here and ‘lets just show you this’ that make it personal and so much more informative than if you were self driving a region you didn’t know.

Their last stop was at a new winery on the scene, called Many Hands Winery where they enjoyed a cheese and wine tasting.  Martin was impressed with this new family run cellar door as he owns a small winery in the Swan Valley and he loved the building.  Note – their pizzas are great so if you’re wanting a good pizza lunch on our tour, let us know and we’ll take you here.

John dropped them back to their accommodation at Art on Linden Gate at 5pm after a great day having enjoyed great variety – wine, sparkling, cider & beer and gin –
and they were looking forward to sampling some of their purchases.  They will have slept well that’s for sure!
