Northpoint Survey from Alphington contacted us to arrange a day’s touring for 7 of their staff as their Christmas Break Up – when you spend your day offering specialist survey services to large construction projects, a day out on a private winery tour in the Yarra Valley is the perfect way to relax with colleagues!
John collected Andrew, Stef and the crew from Melbourne’s CBD on Monday and their first stop was a sparkling tasting at Chandon – a great way to start their day.
The group had designed their own itinerary and so John took them next to Healesville to visit Four Pillars Gin Distillery for gin paddles and tastings and they really enjoyed the different gins.
Before their next tasting at Innocent Bystander, John took them up for a quick drive by the Maroondah Dam Lookout which is rather special, looking out over such a vast expanse of catchment water, and knowing it’s 125 ft deep!! At Innocent Bystander the guys enjoyed their wine tasting on tap and loved the fun atmosphere and Prosecco.
By this time lunch was needed and the group had requested lunch at the Grand Hotel in Yarra Glen so John took them to the pub where they had a good catch up and readied themselves for two more tastings still to come!!!
Yering Station was on their hit list, so we stopped in for a post-lunch wine tasting and then to finish off the day – a beer and cider tasting at Meletos where they loved all the buildings there and thought the whole concept was amazing. And it is and we are incredibly lucky to have such premium tourism businesses up here in the Yarra Valley.
Hohn had them back to the CBD by 6pm after a great ‘Works Christmas Do’ in the Valley. If you’d like to see if we can squeeze you and your colleagues in for a Christmas Break Up wine tour, get in touch and let’s check some dates.
