On Easter Sunday, John collected six friends from their hotel in Southbank and took them out on a wonderful half day tour so they could relax in the beautiful Yarra Valley as part of their once a year reunion.  They have been doing this annual reunion for 30 years, so we were honoured they chose us to take them on a half day tour of the Yarra Valley.

After plenty of planning and liaising, Joan put together an itinerary that suited their timings and preferences and included wine tastings, delicious platter lunch, gin, beer and cider – I know, all in half a day!!!

John whisked the group straight to Medhurst Wines for a wine tasting before a relaxing lunch of beautiful platters washed down with some smooth Pinot and Cabernet Sauvignon while enjoying the views out over the vineyard.

After lunch, we thought we’d show them the impressive Four Pillars Gin Distillery where they loved their gin tasting paddles and were understandably impressed with the building, the distillery and the interesting information on gin making.

To round off their Yarra Valley Half Day Extravaganza, we wowed them with a visit to Meletos for some cider and beer paddles outside in the sunshine and great surroundings.  We were very lucky it was such a beautiful Easter’s Day, but Meletos always looks good, whatever the weather.

The group have already emailed to thank us for a fabulous day and were really impressed that they experienced three different venues with such a variety of tastings – wine, gin, beer & cider all locally made and all in the one tour – AND we still had them back in the city by 4.30pm after a great day in the Yarra Valley.
