When you’re getting married in a couple of weeks time, a hens day out in the Yarra Valley is a gorgeous way to relax and have fun with your girlfriends ahead of the big day. And that’s exactly what bride-to-be Kaitlyn did on Saturday when her friend Jayne organised a day out for 11 of her friends and family for her hen’s party/wine tour.
John collected the group of 11 from Richmond on Saturday morning for a half day Yarra Valley tour and drove them into the lovely town of Healesville in the heart of the Yarra Valley to Innocent Bystander, owned by Brown Brothers, for a wine tasting. The group loved how the wines are served on tap, like draught beer – which they found great fun and quite different.
Their next tasting was at the beautiful Tokar Estate Winery where they had trouble deciding which of the wines was their favourite, to enjoy as their complimentary glass of wine with their lunch, as they enjoyed them all – what a great problem to have!
After their fabulous 2-course lunch, and some photos with the gorgeous view and the roses, John felt a leisurely visit to Meletos was in order for a cleansing Yarra Valley cider and beer tasting. Everyone agreed and thoroughly enjoyed their cider and beer paddle tastings and chatted about the forthcoming wedding with great excitement.
