After numerous emails we created a wonderful private tour of the Yarra Valley just for Debbie’s group, visiting all the places they were interested in seeing.  And it turns out that two of the ladies on Saturday’s tour of the Yarra Valley were celebrating significant birthdays – we had Merilyn’s 60th and Leona’s 30th birthday so it was a double whammy super celebration for this corporate group of 13 friends who work together at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Murdoch Institute.

John collected the group from Melbourne’s CBD and made their first stop in the Yarra Valley Valley at Innocent Bystander, a winery within the town of Healesville, for coffee and cake.  Then it was off to Four Pillars Gin at the other end of Healesville where they loved the gin tasting (we’re yet to have anyone not enjoy it).  It was then time for the first wine of the day, so where better to go than one of the Yarra Valley’s most iconic wineries – the legendary Coldstream Hills.

The group then enjoyed a sensational lunch at Tokar Estate Winery where they had a great time catching up with one another over a glass of wine in such a lovely setting.

After their leisurely lunch John made a quick stop at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie so everyone could enjoy a free sample of choccies, before enjoying cheese platters with their wine tasting at DeBortoli’s cellar door.

Before they knew it – it was time to start heading back to the city – but the group had a brilliant day celebrating with one another and sent a gorgeous thank you email .

A great day had by all – Debbie sent this gorgeous email of thanks to John.

Hi Joan,
Just wanted to pass on our thanks for the fun day we had on Saturday.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and John was very patient with us and incredibly flexible which helped to make the day a really wonderful experience for everyone.
We all very much enjoyed all of our pitstops, our lunch, and the gin tasting!
Hoping we will make it an annual event now!
Warm regards,
