John collected 8 lovely ladies from Home Farm accommodation on Friday morning who were enjoying their annual weekend away. They have been meeting twice a month socially for the last 35 years – what a gorgeous achievement!!!
The first stop of the day was a visit to the stunning Alowyn Gardens in Yarra Glen and they absolutely loved it as they were all gardening enthusiasts, and Alowyn is a treat any time of year. Then John whisked them off to TarraWarra Museum of Art where they enjoyed looking at the modern art.
By then they had built up an appetite, so it was time to head on over to Medhurst Winery for some delicious platters and of course a wine tasting and the group were delighted to be presented with a complimentary bottle of wine!
For something a little different, their penultimate stop was at Badger Creek Blueberry Farm for a lovely tasting of Blueberry wine and St Ronan’s cider at their cellar door and we finished off their tour with a visit to the Chocolaterie for some chocolate and ice cream.
John had the ladies back to their accommodation by 4.30pm where they were looking forward to relaxing and spending their first night in the Yarra Valley.
