Rachel, Ruth and Carlie had the best day out in the Yarra Valley celebrating Rachel’s birthday, tasting all manner of Yarra Valley wines from sparkling to fortified, enjoying tours of wine cellars and enjoyed a lovely share platter at a blueberry winery for lunch!
Yering Station wowed them with its view and restaurant with that wall of glass and after a tour of the cellar and a wine tasting they purchased some wine to enjoy later.
For something a little different we took them to Badger Creek Blueberry Winery where they loved their platter for lunch and washed it down tasting the beautiful blueberry wine and St Ronan’s cider. They couldn’t help themselves and bought some wine and some of Alison’s gorgeous home made condiments.
Wanting to give them a taste of a really good cross section of wines we took them to Coldstream Hills for some of their lovely Chardonnay and Pinots on tasting and were spot on as once again the girls couldn’t resist buying some for later!
To round off the day we stopped in at St Huberts Winery for a sparkling and dessert wine tasting and a few more purchases. It was a wonder they managed any wine tastings at all they were having so much fun chatting away – it would certainly have been an eye opener for Carlie who is on a working holiday from Manchester in England, known more for its football than its cellar doors!
