Family celebrations on a private Yarra Valley wine tour

When you have a lot of birthdays and wedding anniversaries to celebrate at the same time of the year, celebrate them all with a private wine tour just for you and your family.  That's exactly what Mary organised with us - a winery tour for her daughters and sons- in-law.

John collected them from Melbourne's CBD at 9.30am an drove them out to the Yarra Valley, making their first stop in Healesville with a visit to Four Pillars Gin Distillery for a gin paddle each and they really enjoyed the fascinating talk from cellar door hand Ben.  They also bought some of the Christmas Gin - hope they can wait til then to drink it!

After their gin experience, John took them across the road to Payten & Jones' new cellar door so they could be one of the first to try out this new venue. Behn (P) and Troy (J) are young gun Yarra Valley winemakers and are real boutique producers and we're excited they've opened a cellar door so more people can get to experience their awesome wines.  The group really enjoyed their wine tasting and purchased a variety of wines.

Next it was time to hit Meletos for a cider and beer paddle each where everyone loved the views, all the great old buildings and atmosphere in general; it is a cool spot.

By this time, lunch was in order, so John took them off to Tokar Estate Winery where they had another snifter of a wine taste before lunch, in order to choose their glass of wine to enjoy with their meal.  Lunch should always be lingered over and enjoyed, and the group certainly enjoyed theirs and when everyone was ready, John took them back into Melbourne by 4.30pm as they had plans for the evening as well.

If you have reason to celebrate, fill out our questionnaire so we can get a feel for what kind of tour you're after and we can then get back to you with some ideas and a quote.
