We collected 12 people from Essendon Fields at 9.30am and by the time we got to our first stop at St Huberts it was well and truly raining so the group enjoyed their tasting but couldn't sit out under the beautiful elm trees without getting drenched.
Helen & Joeys cellar door was a big hit for those in the group who are lovers of red wine, and the sparkling-loving-girls on the tour were delighted with their tasting at Coldstream Hills.
Tokar Estate was a great hit for lunch, and the group were happy to sit inside in the dry from where they were still able to enjoy the magnificent view and surrounding grounds.
After lunch and disregarding the rain, everyone's spirits were raised by a visit to the Chocolaterie for some free samples and a bit of hand made chocolate indulgence and then we made our wat to our final tasting at Yering Station in their gorgeous cellar door which doubles as an art space.
It was a very good way to spend a wet Sunday and we look forward to touring with them again on their next work social - we can just see them loving getting up close and personal with the animals at Healesville Sanctuary, kayaking on the Yarra or catching their own trout for lunch, after all there's so much to see and do in our region. And of course there is the Dandenong Ranges too which is full of great experiences we could take them to. Endless possibilities.
It was a really enjoyable day and we hope Ken and Liz got home in plenty of time to help their daughter who was expecting a baby.
